Granite Falls is proud of its comunity events and invites you to come join the fun. Here are just a few of the highlights:

Shin-Dig Held in the summer months, the Granite Falls Shin-Dig brings everyone out to Jim Holm Park for food and fun. A basketball tournament featuring local stars is the highlight of the day.

Farm City Days Held the second weekend of July, Farm City Days is sponsored by the Snohomish County Granges and this year will be held on Scherrer Ranch near Granite Falls. Visitors get to see a working farm in action and see demonstrations of animal care, canning, and soap making. After you wander through the antique farm equipment display, take a ride on a horse or see how fast you can eat a bowl of berries in the strawberry-eating contest. Homemade goods from the Farmers Market are available for sale.

Arts-in-the-Parks Celebrating its fourth year the third weekend of July, Arts-in-the-Parks is a celebration of the many talented artists in our area. Events are scheduled in four separate locations, making it a true community-wide event, with displays and activities at Jack Webb Park, Jim Holm Park, the Granite Falls Museum and the Community Center. Live music, fine art, paintings, sculpture, literary arts, performance art and fine crafts are all featured. For more information, call City Hall at 360-691-6441.

Railroad Days Held the first Saturday in October, this 30-year-old event includes three parades, bed race, duck race, egg toss, petting zoo, talent show, karaoke, live entertainment and much more. Railroad Days was started to commemorate Granite Falls history and the great railroads which once brought ore, precious metals and timber through our mining and lumber town. The event combines with reunions at Granite Falls High School, bringing back past alumni to meet old friends and renew past acquaintances. It was started 30 years ago by one of the high schools English teachers and has been a community highlight ever since. For more information, call City Hall at 360-691-6441.

Show-N-Shine Held the first Saturday in August, the Granite Falls Chamber of Commerce coordinates this annual antique car show and parade. Over 125 antique and classic cars from across the state and Northwest come to compete and show their stuff at this family event. The parade is an impressive look at automobiles across the decades and the love bestowed upon them by their dedicated owners. For more information, call City Hall at 360-691-6441.
